Choose a hotel management entrance exam after 12th by the degree it reaches. BHM, BHMCT and B.Sc. Hospitality and Hotel Administration can have different admission processes.

You want the NCHMCT IHM route

Start with NCHM JEE. Check the current counselling list, exact course and campus before applying.

You want a Maharashtra BHMCT seat

Check the combined Maharashtra CET and the BHMCT admission rules. Confirm the candidature category and documents required for a Punjab applicant.

You have a university BHM in mind

Use CUET UG only when that university lists the course and accepted papers. Panjab University uses PUTHAT for its notified hospitality and tourism programmes.

You are considering IIHM

For a BHM entrance exam, first establish the full degree title and institution. CUET scores do not replace NCHM JEE for regular NCHMCT counselling. Likewise, eCHAT, PUTHAT and the Maharashtra CET serve their own published admission systems. Keep separate application records if you pursue more than one route.

NCHM JEE vs other hotel management exams

Targeting the NCHMCT B.Sc. HHA route?Use the existing NCHM JEE preparation guide for eligibility, the verified paper pattern, section practice and counselling steps.

NTA conducts NCHM JEE. NCHMCT runs the associated admission and counselling process. University BHM and BHMCT programmes can use different tests, academic thresholds or interviews, so the NCHM syllabus should not become your default plan for every hospitality application.

How to choose a workable shortlist

Name the degree and campusRecord the programme title, teaching location and degree-awarding body. Ask about practical training and internships.
Check eligibility against your documentsRead the qualification, English requirement, minimum marks and category rules for each course. Check appearing-candidate conditions. Do not carry an exemption from one university into another application.
Match each course to its entranceSave the current notice and note the required CUET papers or named test. Establish whether an interview, separate college application or counselling registration follows the score.
Compare the complete cost and logisticsAsk for the written course fee schedule, accommodation charges, refund terms and reporting arrangements. Plan travel and living arrangements.
Build preparation around the shortlistCombine overlapping English and reasoning practice where sensible. Add route-specific work, such as computer basics, hospitality awareness or an interview, when the official pattern calls for it.

Discuss eligibility, course fit, relocation and later admission stages with your family. Choose tests that serve that shortlist.

For Jalandhar families

Punjab, Chandigarh and nearby university options

PUTHAT is a verified Panjab University route in Chandigarh. It deserves a separate application plan if its BHMCT or tourism course is on your shortlist. A university test for Chandigarh is different from admission to an IHM through NCHM JEE.

LPU publishes LPUNEST hospitality information, with its admission-process page labelling the test “for Scholarship”. Other pages show mixed admission claims and cycle labels. Confirm the intake-specific BHMCT admission and scholarship conditions directly. Chandigarh University states on its hospitality course FAQ that CUCET is not compulsory for admission; do not assume its scholarship test is a universal entrance requirement.

For WGSHA at Manipal, the published admission flow includes a personal interview and a merit list. Conflicting eligibility text on the current page needs clarification from admissions. Do not assume a MET requirement for BHM from an unrelated engineering notice. For other Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh or Delhi options, use the current course notice before calling a route a state entrance exam.

Interview routes need examples from the student’s own school, teamwork and service experiences. Clear, honest explanations work better than memorised hotel-industry slogans.

Is a science stream compulsory?

There is no single rule across these routes. Several published eligibility rules accept recognised 10+2 qualifications with English, subject to marks and other conditions. Read the chosen course notice rather than assuming a stream rule applies everywhere.

Does clearing an entrance guarantee a seat?

No. A score may be followed by a separate application, interview, counselling, document verification and payment. Complete the relevant process and check seat-allotment or selection rules for the course.

Is CUCET compulsory for Chandigarh University hospitality admission?

The university’s hospitality course FAQ states that CUCET is not compulsory for admission. Confirm the current course and scholarship conditions directly before treating the test as an admission requirement.

Should I prepare for every hotel management test?

Build a course shortlist first. Prepare shared skills together, then add the content and selection stages required by your chosen routes. Applying to an unrelated exam adds work without establishing another suitable college option.

Do the Apply now colleges all use these entrance exams?

No common entrance route is claimed for the college cards. Confirm each course’s current admission process, eligibility and selection conditions before applying. The cards are separate options to explore.
