NCHM JEE for IHMs

For the B.Sc. Hospitality and Hotel Administration at NCHM-affiliated institutions, prepare for NCHM JEE and follow the counselling process. Check the institute and course, since every hospitality degree does not use this entrance.

University and private-college selection

Some routes use their own aptitude test; others select through interviews. Build a separate checklist for each application so test preparation and interview practice cover what that course actually asks for.

Merit-based or direct admission

Where a course accepts board marks, check the published threshold and any further assessment. Meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee a seat. We help you confirm the route before deciding how much test preparation you need.

Written test

What the written test covers, and how we teach it

NTA's 2026 NCHM JEE bulletin specifies a computer-based test with 120 multiple-choice questions in 120 minutes. Correct answers earn 4 marks, incorrect answers lose 1 mark and unattempted questions earn 0.

The five subject areas and question counts below come from the bulletin. The practice activities describe our teaching approach. As of 15 October 2026, a 2027 bulletin was not verified. Use the official NTA site to check the next cycle.

English language

45 questions in 2026. Practise reading comprehension, vocabulary in context, grammar and clear usage. Review why an answer fits the passage or sentence.

Numerical ability and analytical aptitude

15 questions in 2026. Build confidence with arithmetic, percentages, ratios and interpreting information. Work towards accurate solutions under time pressure.

Reasoning and logical deduction

15 questions in 2026. Practise patterns, relationships and deduction, then review the assumptions that led to an error.

General knowledge and current affairs

15 questions in 2026. Follow a regular reading and revision plan. Short recall drills help students retain what they have read.

Aptitude for service sector

30 questions in 2026. Discuss situations involving guests, teamwork and service decisions. Explain the reasoning behind a response, rather than memorising a polite-sounding line.

Mocks with a review plan

Use timed practice to identify whether mistakes come from knowledge, reading or rushing. The next practice session starts with those errors.
