Is this the decision your family is facing?
If your situation looks different, explain it in the form below. Anshul will tell you honestly whether counselling is worth paying for right now.
The stream decision is close
Grade 9 or 10, and Science, Commerce or Humanities has to be picked in a few months. The choice is being made on marks, on what a cousin did, or on what sounds safest, and nobody in the room has actually checked what each path leads to. For a student drawn to sport and human behaviour, the sports psychology training and career roadmap is one concrete route to investigate.
The effort is real but pointed the wrong way
The student is working hard, sometimes harder than anyone around them, at a target that does not fit. This is the group hardest to help, because effort masks the misalignment right up until an exam result exposes it.
Parents and students disagree on the plan
Nobody has said it out loud yet. The student has quietly given up arguing, or the parent has quietly decided to wait it out. Both plans are running in parallel and only one of them is being funded.
What happens in career counselling
We turn a vague question about the future into concrete decisions with dates attached. Everything below is part of a standard engagement. When you are ready to shortlist courses, use our college and course directory to explore degree options and admissions guides. Before paying for that process, read our guide to career counselling costs and value in India.
- A psychometric assessment covering aptitude, interest and personality, taken by the student before the session, not during it.
- A student questionnaire and a separate parent questionnaire, filled in independently. The gap between the two answers is often the most useful thing on the table.
- A working session with the student, and with the parents present for the part that concerns them. This is a conversation, not a report reading.
- A written report in second person, addressed to the student, naming the career directions that fit and the evidence behind each one.
- A 3 to 5 year academic roadmap, stream and subject choices, the entrance exams that route actually needs, and what to do in which year.
How the counselling process works
There are four steps. Most families finish within two weeks, depending on how quickly the questionnaires come back.
- You get in touchUse the form on this page, or call. Anshul asks a few questions about the student's grade, current subjects and what has triggered the decision, and tells you whether counselling is the right next step at all.
- Assessment and questionnairesThe student takes the psychometric assessment and fills in their questionnaire. Parents fill in a separate one. Nobody sees the other's answers before the session.
- The sessionAt the Jalandhar office or online. The assessment output is read against what the student and the parents actually said, the disagreements are identified, and the realistic options are narrowed down together.
- The written roadmapA report goes to the student afterwards: the directions that fit, why, the route each one takes in India, and a year by year sequence. Written to be re-read a year later.

What students and parents wrote on Google
These reviews come from the AptiGuide Google Business listing and are quoted as written.
I would like to thank AptiGuide for helping me secure my admission at Atlas SkillTech University. Their guidance, support, and encouragement throughout the process made everything much easier and less stressful.
With the help of AptiGuide institute, I got selected in Christ University (Central Campus). I believe AptiGuide has pushed me towards accomplishing my goals with the help of brilliant teachers, regular tests and a balanced schedule which emphasises on accuracy in all areas.
As a sportsman, getting back into academics after a long gap felt like an uphill battle, but AptiGuide made the journey seamless. I started from zero, completely out of touch with studies, yet the incredible faculty ensured I grasped every concept from scratch with absolute clarity. Thanks to their unwavering support and structured guidance, I was able to achieve a top score in the CAT and XAT exam.

Where AptiGuide works
AptiGuide counsels students on stream selection, degree choice and long term career direction, in person from Jalandhar and nearby Phagwara, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur and Nakodar, and online for students anywhere in India. Families from the smaller towns around Jalandhar usually come in person for the session itself and do the assessment and questionnaires from home, which keeps it to one trip. The office is at 2nd Floor, Crystal Plaza, SCO-2, near P.I.M.S Hospital, Choti Baradari, Jalandhar 144001.
