Where Prakash started
Prakash Singh Saini came to AptiGuide Jalandhar in November 2023 unsure what to do next. A cricketer from Punjab, he had spent two years trying to build a cricket career. He had completed his BCA in 2020 and PGDCA in 2021 at DAV College, but had been away from studies for more than two years.
The starting question was about direction: continue with cricket, seek a job, return to further study or work towards an MBA.
What we did
Across 7 to 8 counselling sessions over two months, from November 2023 to January 2024, those routes were compared against his age, interests and record. Prakash chose an MBA through CAT. The decision was his.
He joined AptiGuide CAT preparation in January 2024. The basics were rebuilt from scratch, mocks were reviewed with him and a weekly schedule supported the return to studies. When motivation dipped, the pace was eased and weekly targets were kept small.
What happened
Prakash scored 86.34 percentile in CAT 2024 and 88.76 percentile in XAT 2025. He was admitted to the MBA in Business Data Analytics at University Business School (UBS), Panjab University, Chandigarh, and is now in the final year. His summer internship was as a Business Data Analyst at Larsen & Toubro.
In an email to Anshul, he described the return to study:
Getting back into studies after such a long gap wasn't easy, but your guidance and the support I received at AptiGuide made a real difference.
