CUET Coaching · Jalandhar

CUET Coaching in Jalandhar built around the subjects that actually get you into DU

CUET decides which Delhi University college and course a student can actually apply to, not just whether they get in somewhere. AptiGuide has seen strong Class 12 board scorers miss their target college because the domain-subject strategy was wrong, and average scorers land Hansraj or SRCC because the subject and college shortlist was planned correctly from day one.

Preparation covers the domain-subject papers a student actually needs, General Test strategy where required, and a realistic college shortlist built on real CUET percentile-to-college data, not guesswork.

CUET subjects begin with the college list

Unsure which CUET domain subjects to choose

CUET requires choosing the right subject combination for the target course and college, not just the subjects studied in school. Getting this wrong closes doors before the exam even starts.

Strong board scores and a DU target

Board marks do not carry into CUET directly. A student with 95 percent or higher boards can still miss their target college without a dedicated CUET percentile strategy built separately from board exam prep.

Choosing between DU and other universities

CUET scores are accepted by 250 or more universities across India. Where to actually apply is a shortlisting decision, not just a scoring one.

Choose CUET subjects with colleges in mind

CUET (Common University Entrance Test), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is a computer-based test held over multiple domain-subject papers plus a General Test, depending on the university and course. The exact number of subjects a student can appear for, and whether the General Test is required, has changed across recent NTA cycles, so the current year's official NTA information bulletin is the only reliable source before a student's final subject selection.

SectionWhat It TestsFormat
Domain SubjectsSubject-specific knowledge: Accountancy, Economics, Business Studies, English, Mathematics and othersObjective, one paper per subject chosen
General TestGeneral knowledge, current affairs, numerical ability, quantitative and logical reasoningObjective, required by some universities and courses, not all

Delhi University allocates seats through CUET-based CSAS counselling rounds, where the percentile in the exact subject combination a course requires decides eligibility, not the raw score alone. A well-matched subject combination and a realistic college shortlist, built against actual recent-cycle cutoff data, usually matters as much as the score itself.

How we plan CUET preparation

CUET rewards the right subject strategy as much as raw preparation, so planning starts before revision does.

  1. Subject and course-fit strategyA short profile conversation maps the target course and college against the actual subject combination CUET requires for it, before a single topic is revised.
  2. Domain-subject preparationFocused preparation on the chosen domain subjects, built around NCERT-based concepts and NTA's own question patterns, with regular subject-wise practice tests.
  3. General Test and reasoning practiceWhere the target course requires it, General Test preparation covers current affairs, numerical ability and reasoning under timed conditions.
  4. College shortlisting and CSAS guidanceOnce scores are in, a realistic college and course shortlist is built against actual recent CUET cutoff data, with guidance through the CSAS counselling and seat-allocation rounds.

Questions about CUET coaching

Is CUET compulsory for Delhi University admission?
Yes. Delhi University moved entirely to CUET-based admission and no longer uses Class 12 board marks directly for undergraduate seat allocation. CSAS (Common Seat Allocation System) counselling then uses the CUET percentile in the required subject combination.
How many subjects can I appear for in CUET?
This has changed across recent NTA cycles, so the exact number for the current year should always be confirmed against the official NTA information bulletin before finalising a subject selection, not assumed from a previous year's rules.
Do board marks matter for CUET at all?
Not for the CUET score itself, which is a separate exam. Many universities outside the CUET-CSAS system still consider board eligibility criteria, a minimum percentage, for admission, so boards remain relevant for eligibility even where they no longer decide the merit list.
Is CUET only useful for Delhi University?
No. CUET scores are accepted by 250 or more universities across India for undergraduate admission, including several central, state and private universities, though each sets its own cutoff and counselling process.
How is CUET coaching different from school preparation?
School preparation is built for board exams. CUET tests the same subjects in NTA's own objective format and pattern, so preparation is built around CUET-specific question types and timed practice, planned alongside the college shortlist from the start.
