This readiness check turns your answers into a practical plan. It is not an admission, visa or affordability prediction. Complete the required details and consent after the questions to reveal your result.
If you are already in college or have graduated, changing course needs a separate credit, cost and eligibility review.
Parent's view of the family's current plan. Discuss these answers with the student; they do not establish the student's preferences.
Answer for the plan you can describe today. Choose the option that matches what you have actually checked.
Use an official course deadline. This quiz does not check deadlines for you.

How this check works
Eight questions form four components: funding, profile, timeline and independence. Each is 25 times its two answer values (0, 1 or 2). Overall readiness uses weights 30%, 25%, 25% and 20%. An urgent deadline takes precedence, then missing funding, then an unclear goal. Shortlist discussion needs at least 75 plus some evidence, some checked next steps and a known deadline. Otherwise at least 50 means build readiness. These proposed design rules are not validated psychometrics. Destination and tuition planning budget never affect the score. No cost, admission or visa prediction is made.
| Component | Questions | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| Funding | A1, A2 | 30% |
| Profile | A3, A4 | 25% |
| Timeline | A5, A6 | 25% |
| Independence | A7, A8 | 20% |
Each component is 25 × the sum of its two answers. Overall readiness is 30% funding + 25% profile + 25% timeline + 20% independence. No rounding happens before routing.
For example, four components at 50 give 15 + 12.5 + 12.5 + 10 = 50. A reported urgent deadline wins over every other result; a missing funding plan comes next, then an unclear course goal. A total of at least 75 also needs some application evidence, some checked next steps and a known deadline for a shortlist discussion. Otherwise 50 or more gives build readiness, and a lower score gives start plan.
If the lowest components tie, the action order is funding, profile, timeline, independence. Destination, budget band and parent role do not affect scores. Early-stage wording changes the planning invitation only.
These weights and thresholds are design rules from the supplied spec, not measured predictive accuracy. No publication date is claimed for this local deploy package.
Build your study-abroad readiness plan
A destination can be appealing before a study plan is clear. Keep that preference, then test it against a specific course, a dated cost sheet and the support you would need. This check helps you find the next unanswered question. It cannot decide where you should live or what a university will offer you.
Write the same learning goal for both routes
Describe the subject work you want to do. For example, “I want to investigate environmental data” gives you something to compare in course modules, projects and prerequisites. “I want to go abroad” leaves the course question open. Compare an India programme and an abroad programme against the same goal before comparing their locations.
Give every amount a source and a date
Create headings for tuition, housing, food, travel, insurance, application expenses and other course-specific costs. Fill amounts only after checking the relevant official source. Record the currency and date. Leave an unknown as unknown. A blank cell is more useful than a confident guess.
On a separate page, distinguish confirmed funding from support that still depends on an award, approval or future income. Discuss a backup if an expected source is unavailable. The optional budget band in this quiz is your planning bracket, not proof that any destination is affordable.
Check the deadline before building the calendar
Use the official page for the exact programme and intake. Record the date, time zone and any earlier task deadlines. Work backwards through documents, references and other requirements listed for that course. A deadline less than eight weeks away triggers a review here; it does not mean you have already missed it. If you have not verified a deadline, choose that answer honestly.
Organise evidence without uploading it here
Keep relevant academic records and work samples in your own folder. Note what each item demonstrates and which course requirement it addresses. A long collection of unrelated certificates is not a substitute for checking what the programme actually asks for. This quiz does not accept passports, financial statements, medical records or document uploads.
Make daily support part of the plan
Discuss spending, daily routines, communication with family and how to ask for help. Write down a backup for a difficult week or an unexpected change. Needing support is not a reason to dismiss your ambition. It is a planning question you can address before committing.
Use a comparison sheet you can revise
| Compare | Write down | Leave open until checked |
|---|---|---|
| Course fit | Modules, practical work and prerequisites | Whether your prior study meets actual requirements |
| Full costs | Amounts, currencies, source links and dates | Costs not published or not yet confirmed |
| Funding | Confirmed sources and a backup | Unawarded support and hoped-for income |
| Timeline | Official deadline and tasks with owners | Dependencies outside your control |
| Support | Housing questions, contact plan and daily needs | Availability of the specific support you need |
Bring questions to the conversation
A parent answering alone describes the family’s current plan. The student should still have room to disagree, ask questions and explain what they want from the course. For Class 9 or 10, use this as long-term exploration. Do not turn a readiness score into pressure to apply now.
At a planning discussion, ask what is known, what needs current verification and what you can do next. Course requirements, recognition, costs and any regulatory questions need their own current official checks. No country rules or costs are asserted here.

Questions you might have
What does this study-abroad readiness check assess?
It helps you review your funding plan, application evidence, timeline and independence, then choose a practical next task. It does not predict admission or recommend a country.
Is my score a visa or admission prediction?
No. It reflects the planning steps you report, not an application's likely outcome.
What if I am still deciding between India and abroad?
Use the separate India or abroad decision checklist linked in the guide and next steps. This readiness check helps you organise your study-abroad plan; it does not choose between India and abroad for you.
Why can a high score still give me a funding or timeline result?
The rules put a reported urgent deadline first, then a missing cost or funding plan, then an unclear goal. A high total does not remove those unanswered questions.
What if I have not checked a deadline?
Choose the unverified deadline option. It is different from a confirmed deadline less than eight weeks away, and it prevents the shortlist-ready result. Check the official course page before setting dates.
Can a parent answer?
Yes. Choose parent answering alone and answer about the family’s current plan. The result is labelled as a parent view. It does not establish the student’s preferences or agreement.
Can I use this before Class 11?
Yes. Class 9 and 10 students receive long-term planning language. The maths stays the same, but a shortlist-ready result does not become an immediate application push.
Does the budget band say where I can afford to study?
No. The optional annual tuition-plus-living band records your planning bracket only. It is not a cost estimate or an affordability decision and does not change your score.
Why are my details required, and what happens if saving fails?
You must complete the contact and education details and required acknowledgements to reveal the result. Guidance and provider contact are separate optional choices. If a save cannot be confirmed, your result stays available to download and the page explains the pending status. A save acknowledgement does not confirm email delivery.
What should I bring to a planning discussion?
Bring a dated cost worksheet, official course links, the deadline and task list, and the academic records or work samples you have already organised. Keep sensitive financial, identity and medical documents out of this quiz.
