Exam structure
Stages and sections
Prelims
English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability. 100 questions in 60 minutes.
Mains
Reasoning; general, economy, banking, digital and financial awareness including RBI circulars; English; data analysis and interpretation. Descriptive: essay and comprehension.
After mains
Mandatory, non-qualifying personality test, followed by interview.

IBPS PO combines timed aptitude with banking awareness and written English. Preparing only for prelims leaves the descriptive paper and the broader mains sections uncovered.

Is IBPS PO only for commerce graduates?
No. CRP PO/MT XVI accepts recognised graduation in any discipline, subject to its qualification and other eligibility conditions.
Is there a personality test?
Yes. In XVI, appearing in the non-qualifying personality test is mandatory before interview.
Can final-year students register before graduating?
The XVI notice requires degree evidence on registration and the final result by 21 July 2026. Do not assume the provisional-entry rule used by SBI PO also applies here.
Can I prepare online, and what are the fees?
Yes, in person in Jalandhar or online across India. Ask on WhatsApp for current batch dates and fees.
