At your pace

Read before you start (optional)

This result is indicative. It is based only on the answers you gave. It is not professional advice, an admission or job prediction, or a guarantee of any outcome. Treat it as one input. Before you decide, check eligibility, fees and requirements with the institution, and talk to your parents or guardian and a qualified counsellor. The decision, and its outcome, remain yours. AptiGuide is not liable for decisions made on this result alone.

Compare the work behind each MBA focus

Before you choose electives

Choose a kind of work you can test

Start with a task you would be willing to repeat. The quiz asks how you would approach business problems, what you have enjoyed doing and which electives you can actually take. The result gives one first focus and a small assignment to test it.

First focusA sample to try this week
FinanceExplain a cash gap using a receipts-and-payments timeline.
MarketingPlan an enquiry experiment for a defined audience.
Human resourcesWrite a fair onboarding checklist with a way to raise concerns.
Operations and supply chainFind the waiting step in a process and propose a checkable change.
Business analyticsClean a fictional spreadsheet and explain a decision.
International businessWrite a market-entry note with assumptions clearly marked.

Bring the real elective list

Before finalising the choice, find the current module descriptions, assessed work, prior-module requirements and selection deadline at your college. For a dual specialisation, choose the first focus here and ask how your college permits a second. Do not assume that a track name guarantees a particular internship.

Check the work behind a company name

Ask your placement team for actual role descriptions and how students apply. Put the tasks beside your sample. If you cannot show a connection, identify the missing practice before spending on another course.

Use the result this week

Save the worksheet, attempt the small sample and ask someone to point out what they cannot follow. Keep the feedback. If repeating the work feels wrong, write the reason before revisiting the choice.

Questions about choosing your first focus
Which MBA specialisation is best for me?

Use the work you want to practise, your task choices and your real elective options. This quiz gives one first focus and a work sample you can test before confirming the elective.

Does being a people person mean I should choose HR?

That description alone is too broad for this quiz. Try the onboarding and policy case, then the customer-acquisition case. Your result explains which work your answers support.

Can I choose finance if I am not confident with numbers?

Use a small cash-timing example and a worked spreadsheet first. Check the compulsory modules and requirements at your college. The quiz does not certify that you meet them.

Can I choose analytics without coding experience?

Check the exact elective requirements. The quiz starts with a spreadsheet sample and your willingness to practise; it does not assume that every analytics elective has the same tool requirements.

Is international business a route to working abroad?

This result gives you a cross-market business task to try. It does not establish where you will work. Check actual roles and their requirements before connecting a specialisation to a country.

What if my college does not offer the result?

The result makes checking a permitted elective or project your first step. Keep the work sample as practice and ask the programme office what is allowed before selecting anything.

What if I need a dual specialisation?

Use the result as your first focus. Ask your college which combinations, prior modules and selection rules apply before adding a second focus.

What if I have no internship experience?

Choose the no-example answer. Your result will avoid claiming experience and give you a fictional or everyday work sample to start with.

Why are contact details required, and what happens offline?

Your result follows a required contact and education form with storage and result-email consent. Guidance and future-contact choices are optional and unticked. After completing the form, you can read, print and download locally even if saving is pending. A local result does not confirm email delivery.

Do I need paid help after the result?

No. The tasks, weekly plan and worksheet are usable on their own. A short optional-help block explains who might use the relevant offer and who can skip it.
