The SAT has no strict eligibility criteria set by College Board — there is no minimum age or class requirement. However, from an application planning perspective:
SAT scores are accepted by virtually all US universities. Many universities are now ‘test-optional’ for certain admissions cycles — but strong SAT scores still significantly improve scholarship eligibility even at test-optional schools.
Program fees are discussed during the initial counselling session, where we assess the student’s current level, goals, target universities, and the specific scope of support needed.
We do not publish fixed fee schedules because our programs are structured differently for each student — a Class 10 student beginning a comprehensive 18-month journey requires a different scope than a Class 12 student needing a focused 10-week intervention. Pricing reflects the actual program, not a standard package.
What we can share: our programs are competitively priced within the Jalandhar market, and we are transparent about what is included (profile building support, application guidance, and mentorship are not hidden extras).
Here is an honest guide to what different score ranges can realistically achieve in US university admissions:
Score Range | University Access | Scholarship Potential | Assessment |
1000–1200 | Broad-access and community colleges | Very limited | Below expectations for most Punjab students targeting study abroad |
1200–1350 | Regional universities, some state schools | Moderate; worth applying | Acceptable for budget-conscious US education with realistic planning |
1350–1450 | Strong regional + some nationally ranked | Good merit aid potential | Good — strong applications can secure admission + scholarships at quality universities |
1450–1550 | Top 50 US universities | Excellent scholarship eligibility | Very strong — opens doors across a wide range of quality institutions |
1550–1600 | Top 20 / Ivy League applicant pool | Competitive merit scholarships | Exceptional — but note: top US universities are highly holistic; score alone is not sufficient |
Honest Expectation Setting | We do not promise score guarantees. We do promise structured preparation, personalised strategy, and honest guidance. Students who follow the full program with consistent effort consistently see meaningful score improvements. The students who do not improve are usually those who treat sessions as passive attendance rather than active preparation. |
Ideally in Class 9 or 10 — this gives the most time for preparation, multiple attempts, and profile building. Class 11 is still very workable. Class 12 is possible but requires immediate focus and realistic expectations about university targets.
Not necessarily harder in content — but structurally different in ways that matter. The adaptive format rewards accuracy in Module 1. The shorter, more focused passage format in R&W is different from the old long reading comprehension passages. Students who prepare specifically for the digital format consistently perform better than those using old materials.
Yes. There is no limit on SAT attempts. College Board’s Score Choice policy allows students to select which scores to send to universities (though some universities require all scores). Most students benefit from 2–3 attempts before reaching their target score.
No. US universities use a holistic review process that evaluates SAT scores alongside grades, extracurriculars, essays, recommendation letters, and demonstrated interests. SAT is important — but it is one of several significant factors.
Target score depends on your university shortlist. For strong regional universities, 1300+ is typically competitive. For top 50 universities, 1400+ is generally expected. For highly selective schools (top 20, Ivy League), 1500+ is within the typical admitted range — though these schools evaluate the full application holistically.
Some Canadian universities accept SAT scores, but it is not a standard requirement for Canadian admissions. If your primary goal is Canada, we would recommend focusing on appropriate Canadian-specific preparation rather than SAT. We offer Study Abroad Consulting for Canada as well.
Both are accepted by virtually all US universities. The SAT focuses slightly more on close reading and data analysis in Math; the ACT includes a Science section and tends to have more straightforward questions at a faster pace. We recommend taking a diagnostic practice test for both before deciding which to focus on.
Good academic performance does not automatically translate to SAT performance — the test format and question types require specific preparation. Many academically strong students are surprised by their initial SAT diagnostic scores. Structured, format-specific preparation is valuable regardless of academic background.
We provide end-to-end career guidance, entrance test preparation, study abroad consulting, and profile building to help students make the right decisions and achieve long-term success.
