MSU publishes several distinct routes to support

Medhavi Skills University describes merit scholarships, achievement-based support, school-topper awards and category-specific fee waivers. The page retrieved on 15 October 2026 advertises admissions in 2026 and does not establish a 2027 policy window. The reference schemes below preserve the published wording and identify where a threshold needs clarification. They should be used to prepare a request, not as a guaranteed deduction from a future fee statement.

Start by identifying the programme and study arrangement. MSU's university fee PDF covers named campus programmes, while a separate hospitality page describes an industry-linked arrangement. A scholarship listed on the general university site should not automatically be assumed to cover every training location or delivery model. Ask whether your offer is governed by the same policy before treating the reference percentages as applicable.

MSAT support is a maximum, not a default award

The merit table says MSAT scholarships can be up to 100%. It does not publish a complete score-to-award grid in the retrieved material. That leaves the individual examination result, selection decision and covered fee base to be confirmed. A student taking MSAT should ask when the result is released, how support is assessed and whether a separate award application is required.

The fee PDF labels an application-payment stage for MSAT 2026 and scholarship applications. That reference is cycle-specific. Paying an application charge is not itself a scholarship approval or a promise of full support. Retain the payment acknowledgement and ask what decision document will show the actual award, its academic year and its continuation conditions.

The school-mark rule contains an unresolved boundary

The published school-result row says “Score >90= 25%, 89 >Score >75= 15%” and separately requires 60% in Class 10. That is not a complete, unambiguous band schedule. In particular, the row does not explain the treatment of every boundary between the printed ranges. We reproduce it as published rather than converting it into a cleaner but invented eligibility rule.

The university says scholarships cannot be clubbed; if several categories apply, the highest is considered. For continuation into the second and later years, it requires at least 85% attendance in every subject and a CGPA or GPA of 7 in each semester of the previous academic year. Misconduct can disqualify a recipient. Failure to continue means paying the full subsequent-year fee, and a break in scholarship prevents a later scholarship under the stated rule. Hostel and transport remain fully payable.

If your result sits at or near those boundaries, provide the marksheet and request a written interpretation. Ask whether the calculation uses an overall aggregate, selected subjects or another method. The table does not justify rounding a school result upward. A clear award letter should settle both your qualifying figure and the resulting fee waiver before you plan the payment.

School-topper awards require nomination and verification

The school-topper row lists separate support levels for the topper, second topper and third topper. It also says the student should be recommended by the principal and verified by MSU. Being among strong performers in a class does not by itself establish that nomination. Ask which cohort or examination defines the position and what certificate the university accepts.

Keep the school's recommendation with the marks evidence, and ask when MSU confirms the nomination. The schedule does not state that every student presenting a school letter is automatically funded. If your school uses a different ranking method or does not issue positions, request guidance rather than producing a self-declared rank. The university decides whether the evidence meets its scheme.

Achievement and government support follow different decisions

The Chancellor category refers to national-level achievement and rankings in co-curricular or extracurricular activity, with support up to the published maximum. The retrieved page does not supply a complete award scale for each kind of achievement. Ask which competitions count, how recent the result must be and who assesses the evidence. Participation and a national rank should not be treated as interchangeable claims.

The table also mentions central and state government scholarship schemes. Those are described separately from university merit support. Ask which government scheme applies to your circumstances and what its own application rules require. The general MSU percentage is not proof that every applicant qualifies for a government benefit or that the university can approve it on the government's behalf.

Defence and regional categories need status evidence

MSU lists fee waivers for wards of war widows or war-disabled personnel and for specified service backgrounds. The reference table distinguishes their maximum levels. Request the accepted service and relationship documents, the covered course and fee component, and any availability restrictions. An “up to” award should remain an upper limit until your actual decision is issued.

A separate regional line refers to Sikkim COI holders and students from GTA and NER. It publishes a fixed percentage but the retrieved row does not explain every proof requirement or the interaction with another scheme. Ask what certificate establishes your category and whether a merit award can be combined with it. We have not added regional and academic support together.

Match the award to the cost schedule

The university's 2026-27 fee PDF separates annual and semester charges. Use the programme row as a reference when asking which fee base a waiver covers. For an industry-linked hospitality option, obtain a location-specific schedule and ask whether any training earnings, accommodation or meals are treated separately. A scholarship and an advertised paid-learning opportunity should not be merged into an assumed net cost.

Ask about admission charges, the timing of adjustments, renewal, attendance or academic requirements, withdrawal and course changes. The retrieved scholarship page does not answer all those questions for every category. That uncertainty is a reason to obtain the award conditions, not a basis for assuming the most favourable treatment. Keep the full fee due until the institution confirms an adjustment.
